The Event

Walk for WAGEC will take place at Centennial Park on the morning of Sunday 4th May. There will be opportunities to volunteer throughout the event, from checking in Walk participants and sharing information about WAGEC to assisting with children’s activities and cheering on Walk participants as they make their way through the course. Walk Crew volunteers will have dedicated opportunities to connect with each other and will receive coffee and refreshments to keep them powered throughout the event. 

What’s Involved

Volunteer inductions will be held virtually prior to the event, where volunteers will learn key information about volunteering at WAGEC and Event Day logistics. Volunteers will be assigned Walk Crew roles ranging from staffing the Registration and Information hubs and assisting with children’s activities to guiding Walk participants through the course. Volunteers are a crucial part of Walk for WAGEC and will work alongside WAGEC staff to keep the event running smoothly. We will need volunteers’ support throughout the morning of the event, and the event management team will work hard to ensure moral is up and you have everything you need to keep you feeling inspired throughout the day!
